My Mission for Overton County
What Our Supporters Say
I was privileged to have worked with Gregg on the county commission during my stint as Overton County Executive. He helped me enormously those 4 years and was a great colleague and easy to work with. Gregg's thorough knowledge of county and state laws was an invaluable resource for daily operations. His deep understanding of how business of county government operates makes him the best person for the job. I truly value his friendship and wholeheartedly give my recommendation and endorsement for candidacy. Experience and integrity matters!!

I have known Gregg Nivens as a student at Livingston Academy and for many years as a neighbor and friend. You will find that Gregg:
1. is willing to listen
2. gives honest answers
3. has experience in local government
4. is aware of fiscal responsibility
5. attends scheduled county court meetings as well as meetings he is not required to attend
6. is interested in working toward future progress.
Take a look at Gregg and consider him for your next county mayor.

"I was deployed with Gregg for nine months in Al Anbar Iraq. I served with him as OIC for our Engineering Unit at Al Asad Airbase. He was one of 3 counter parts responsible for the environmental program as Environmental Advisor in TAE supporting the Combined Joint Task Force in support of INHERENT RESOLVE in the middle East. His service was commendable during our tour. He always went the extra mile serving and going beyond expectation quietly showing kindness and helping others with no expectations. His accomplishments reflect great credit and professionalism upon himself, the Transatlantic Expeditionary District, TAE Division, the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of the Army. During his tour he was awarded two medals of commendation, the "Global War on Terrorism" and the "Civilian Service Medal", awarded by the Secretary of the Army. He was also given the Generals Commanders Coin for exemplary leadership and service. Gregg told me of his intentions to be a candidate for Mayor in his hometown. We became close during our time in Iraq, and I still consider him a good friend and am excited to recommend him for this office. He was a great asset to our nations mission overseas and know without a doubt he'll bring the same spirit and selfless service to this position.

I've known Gregg for several years, along with his reputation. Having 45 years of career experience personally with city, state and federal entities, I recognize the huge potential he brings to the table. With his array of experiences and in-depth knowledge of government, he will bring Overton County to a new level of efficiency and transparency. Currently in my position working directly with Overton County, I know without a doubt in my heart that he is the person to be our next County Executive. He is tested and proven how much he deeply cares for our citizens and our county. I'm extremely excited to support him in his endeavor to lead us the next 4 years. Knowledge and Experience really do matter.
